Starts from the version of 1 Jan 2024 and lists only what changed:
- Changed: LTT higher residential rates (bands)
Wales has no first-time buyer relief: first-time buyers pay the main rates, and nothing is due on the first £225,000.
Buyers who are not UK resident pay the same rates as residents; Wales has no non-resident surcharge.
Multiple dwellings, linked transactions, companies (which always pay the higher rates), leases and mixed-use property are not modeled.
Contracts exchanged before 11 December 2024 keep the old higher rates (one point lower in each band) even when the purchase completed later; not modeled.
Next review due 1 Apr 2027.
